Chapter 3 - Advanced Mapping

3.1  Home Map

You can set one map you use frequently as your home map.  Then you can easily and quickly load this map whenever you want using a various convenient means.

Some examples of Home Map applications are:

 

-       a monthly calendar with to do items: choose to open this home map every morning to see your to do lists and daily activities

-        

-       Master Project Plan: a common home map for everyone working on the project.  They can all see the project status and items assigned to them.

 

3.1.1    Designating a Home Map

Only one map can be assigned as your Home Maps at any given time.  Of course you may assign a different map to be your home map.

 

Using Document Tab

Right-click on the current document tab and select Set as Home Map

 

Menu: TOOLS / OPTIONS / MISC tab

Locate your home map using the File Open dialog in this option dialog box.

 

3.1.2    Opening a Home Map

Be default, your home map opens automatically when you start MindMapper.  But there are other methods to recall your home map in case you close it while working with other documents.

 

Keyboard:

Press [ALT] + [HOME]

 

Menu: VIEW / GO TO / HOME MAP

 

Toolbar: View Home Map icon
