How Can We Help?
Mind Processing
Change is an inevitable constant forever altering and shaping the world around us. Bulky typewriters have been replaced by smaller and sleeker computers; VHS tapes have become a thing of the past, replaced by DVDs (which are being replaced by digital downloads); and bulky TVs and massive CRT monitors have become relics of a forgotten era. The modern era is changing all the time, and it’s become impossible to maintain the standard way of doing things. The old ways are not able to keep up with the speed of change. The only way to give yourself a competitive advantage in the global market is to become an agent of change yourself.Think about how sales strategy meetings will typically go. They are typically headed by an organizer who goes through the following process:
- Planning
- Collecting data and researching
- Announcing the meeting
- Moderating the meeting
- Collecting and review the minutes of the meeting
- Creating and sharing a meeting report
The meeting organizer will create and receive several documents in this process. The members of the meeting will read through the relevant information and consider the information before the meeting, which is easier said than done. During the meeting, there isn’t a simple tool that meeting members can do to share information with their fellow team members outside of writing individual notes. It’s also almost impossible to make note of creative ideas and organize them as they come to you using a PowerPoint presentation or Word document. When the meeting is over, someone will write up the minutes of the meeting and send it out to members of the team. These meetings are an inevitable part of working in an office, but how productive these meetings are depended almost entirely on the organization holding the meeting. Some people are able to hold effective meetings, while others are not.
We can already tell that there are problems with running the typical meeting. Most people will generally only write down information through software after they have stored it in their heads or jotted it down as a memo, nurturing it into a full idea. This applies to general life, as well as in meetings. To put it simply; getting an idea and documenting it are two entirely separate processes. We all understand the importance of creative thinking. It’s become an essential skill in the information age. Unfortunately, most people are still under the impression that creative thinking and using a tool to express this thinking are separate processes that require different skill sets. People also mistake mastering these tools as a fundamental part of developing their basic competency.
Our current rule of thinking and documenting our thoughts separately is limited by our productivity and creativity in a range of environments; including planning, meetings, problem-solving, research, among others.
If visual mapping were used to combine creative thinking and documentation, then this gets rid of the illogical and unnecessary workflow while focusing on the creative thinking capabilities of the individual and the organization as a whole. This is the power driving the lightning speed of current advancement.
Mind processing is a way to perform work while maximizing thinking and implementation skills. One works with the mindset that everything they do is a project with a schedule and a goal. To put it simply, mind processing is a way to work with just one tool for simultaneously and multi-dimensionally doing the following:
- Thinking creatively and documenting your ideas
- Visual thinking and communication
- Managing your schedule and performing implementation thinking
Applying mind processing to all your projects with goals and schedules improves your results in the following areas:
- Improving creative skills through stimulation of the right brain with visual thinking
- Developing habits and skills that allow you to see the bigger picture of every situation
- Immediately apply creative ideas to work
- Reducing costs and maximizing value by removing unnecessary procedures and focusing on goals
- Looking at work from the integrated aspect of creative problem solving over the independent aspect of procedures and tools
- Realizing that creative thinking and communication skills are the keys to gaining a competitive edge
- Increasing confidence and making work more enjoyable
- Making individuals and organizations more goal-orientated
- The competitive advantage of the individual becomes the competitive advantage of the entire organization
To sum up just what mind processing does; it enhances project quotient in the modern age of global competition. The individual members of an organization begin to show the common traits of great workers. The competitiveness of the individual becomes a part of the corporate culture, where the goals of the corporation converge and are realized.
